Where did you grow up and how long did you live
there? Born in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1968. I was
raised in a Yukon River fish camp in the Fairbanks and
Rampart areas. During the summer I operated a fishwheel,
and during the winter I mushed the family dogs.
When and why did you move to the place you are now?
After high school I joined the U.S. Navy then went to the University
of Washington before returning to Alaska.
If you live in Alaska:
How long have you lived
here? All my life with the exception of time in the
Navy/University
If you were not born in Alaska, when did you come here
to live and why?
What is your current occupation
and how long have you worked in this occupation?
What organization(s) do you belong to?
What are your hobbies and interest, other than dog mushing?
Mushing Background:
When did you begin mushing? I
won my first race at the age of four and by the
time I was fourteen, I had won each class of the Junior North
American Championship races.
Describe your mushing experience:
I started my distance mushing career
in 1992-93. Yukon Quest, Iditarod, Kuskokwim 300, Copper Basin
300, Tour de Minto, Fire Plug, Sheep Creek Classic, Henry Hahn
200, and others.

For
more than 75 years, Alaska Airlines and
its people have been guided through thick
and thin by a shared commitment to integrity,
caring, resourcefulness, professionalism
and spirit. Especially spirit - an Alaskan
spirit, born in the land the airline is
named after - a place where "can-do"
and "neighbor-helping-neighbor"
are facts of life.
